Are you a seasoned architect with a passion for shaping the future of healthcare? Our rapidly growing medical company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join our team and oversee the design and development of our new state-of-the-art campus in Scottsdale, Arizona.

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to lead our newly formed in-house architectural department. This is a pivotal role that requires a strong blend of design expertise, project management acumen, and strategic thinking.

The initial focus will be on the design and project management of a significant 130,000+ square foot medical campus. This project will serve as the foundation for a robust in-house architectural team that will handle a diverse range of future projects, including additional medical campuses, surgical centers, radiation facilities, and multi-family housing for patients.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional drafting and design skills, coupled with a deep understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes. They will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to final construction. This includes managing design teams, coordinating with engineers and contractors, and ensuring timely project delivery.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. They will have a proven track record of managing large-scale healthcare projects and a keen eye for detail.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead Architectural Design: Spearhead the design and development of a 130,000+ square foot facility, ensuring it meets the highest standards of functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability.
  • Manage Project Lifecycle: Oversee all aspects of the project, from initial concept to final construction, including design, permitting, and construction management.
  • Manage Design Team: Recruit and manage a team of engineers and other design professionals to deliver exceptional results.
  • Source Vendors: Establish relationships with reputable vendors for mechanical, electrical, and other specialized design services.
  • Source and Vet Contractors: Assist in the identification, vetting, and maintenance of relationships with contractors and general contractors (GCs) for the project.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong emphasis on commercial projects
  • Proven track record of successful project management
  • Extensive knowledge of building codes and regulations in Arizona
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
  • Experience in healthcare design is a plus
